Basic Disclosure CRB Check
A Basic Disclosure Scotland or Basic Disclosure CRB check is available to anyone whether they are an individual or company and is the lowest level of Criminal Record Disclosure. The Basic Disclosure CRB check details convictions which are considered unspent under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and held on the PNC (Police National Computer).
One of the benefits of the basic disclosure CRB check is that it can be used more than once and is not job specific.
Once the Basic disclosure CRB application forms have been completed searches will be carried out against the UK wide PNC, as well as the Scottish Criminal History System (CHS).
